Maths and Science experts Alice and Helena formed Thames Tutoring in 2016 to give students and parents in the Thames Valley a unique local learning service. We love learning and success, but do not believe in cramming. Our combined 40 years of teaching, tutoring and examining prove to us that, with the right support, most students can make radical changes in attainment through an individualised approach to their education. We focus on knowledge, understanding, exam technique and motivation to grow confidence and a love of learning in all our students.
Not all students will need an intensive two week revision course, or even expert face to face tutoring. Some will make good progress with materials provided by schools and other off the shelf revision guides. Our services are aimed at students who need a little bit more, perhaps because they would benefit from a confidence boost, need a breakthrough with concepts they feel stuck on or want personalised support with study skills and motivation.
As Thames Tutoring evolves seeing Alice step down as Partner she retains her close contact with the team and our ethos and expectations remain the same.
